The year 2016 has been the busiest for Ohio’s real estate scene since 2005 and saw a surge in the real estate properties sales even when the real estate market across the rest of the country witnessed a significant slowdown. The average price of house sale in Ohio was around $15,931 in the last quarter, which was up by around 4.8 percent from the same time last year.
As per the report by Ohio Association of Realtors, the sales of houses this year in Ohio were up by 7.8 percent by the sales recorded in the year 2015. However, even though the demand was high, there was a sharp decline in the supply of properties for sale. As per the real estate experts, the growth in demand can be attributed to the rapid job creation taking place in Ohio as well as the rest of the country. Many experts believe that the sales figure could have been much higher, but the mortgage rates hikes made some prospective buyers wary about property purchase.

Parysh Wood, a New Brunswick black male, age 21, has been charged with the shooting of a pizza delivery man. The incident occurred on November 30 in the year of 2012. Residents recall the story of a delivery man being called to an apartment complex on Quincy Circle in the “N” building.
The resident denied having ordered and while the delivery man is on his way back to his car, he is approached from behind by three males. The three men convince the delivery driver the pizza is for them. While he sees no immediate danger, the delivery guy heads back to the car to grab the pizza. That’s when things take a drastic turn.
As the delivery guy is walking back to his car, one of the suspects produces a handgun and puts it to his head. The suspects got away with the delivery man’s pizza, bank bag, and wallet. The suspects ended their flee on foot at a neighboring parking lot.
Some eyewitness reported seeing the suspects entering an older model dark shaded minivan and fleeing the parking lot. Lead investigator, Det. Ron Seaman, gathered cell phone site information on the robbery with the help of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. They were able to link Wood to the location of the robbery.
Wood is currently being held in the Middlesex County Correction Center on a $100,000 bail. Chief Hayducka stated, “Violent crime is low in our community, but when it takes place we will pursue all leads to solve it. This case was solved four months after the crime because investigators did not give up. In this digital age, many criminals leave a footprint, which we just need to find.”
Authorities in New Brunswick and the South River precincts were also instrumental in Wood’s capture. Although Wood is behind bars, there is still an ongoing investigation with more arrests to be made.
