Greg Aziz is the director of commercial development for CSX. He has been a member of CSX for twenty-nine years and is responsible for overseeing all commercial real estate, business and customer relations. The successful serial entrepreneur and business leader joined CSX in 1991 as a consultant.
After working with the company on various projects and assignments, Greg was offered a position as Senior Vice President of Business Development in 2001. Just ten years later, the railroad engineer was promoted to Executive Vice President of Business Development. Here, Greg Aziz continued to lead efforts in all customer relationship activities including marketing research and analysis services.
Most recently in 2011, Greg was offered his current position as Director of Commercial Development. Greg has BBA in accounting from the University of South Carolina and has completed various executive management courses at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and the Harvard Business School. Greg Aziz is also a certified railroad industry executive through RTI International Institute and Harvard Business School.
In addition he is a member of The Real Estate Roundtable, one of the leading non-profit business organizations involved in business education and leadership growth. Prior to joining CSX, Greg Aziz held various positions with different companies including Nabisco Brands IncBird’s Eye Foods (Pinterest).
Also, he was featured at United Parcel Service [UPS], both domestically and internationally. However, his career started in the insurance industry where he worked as a claims adjuster. With technology and exponential growth in the railroad industry, he was drawn to the job of an agent when he had significantly increased his risk management experience and skills. Greg Aziz is a native of South Carolina and has two children. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends, family and his two dogs.
