Damien Granderson at the Democratic National Committee

Damien Granderson is a full-service entertainment lawyer with offices in Beverly Hills and New York City. He has represented a broad range of clients including consumers, media companies, and the world’s largest producers of live performance events. Entertainment lawyer Damien currently partners with law firm Wasserman Media Group’s West Coast offices.


The successful entertainment lawyer also advocates for several organizations, including National Black Justice Coalition and Banita Jacks Foundation. Prior to choosing law as his career path, Damien Granderson served as a congressional advisor to two members of Congress: 


Now-Representative Frederica Wilson (D-FL) and then-Congressman Gary Ackerman (D-NY). He also served as a member of the Democratic National Committee. Damien Granderson completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science at the City University of New York.


Here, he graduated cum laude and earned his Masters in Public Administration from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Successful attorney Damien Granderson earned his law degree at the University of Iowa Law School. Here, he was an editor for the Iowa Law Review. Sports media lawyer Damien currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.

His first book, Beating the Odds, was released on January 6, 2018. The book discusses his childhood and gives an insider’s look into the legal field. The lawyer writes about his experiences as a black man in America, growing up in public housing projects in New York City. Damien Granderson also talks about being bullied by other kids and how he fought back to let them know that he wouldn’t be discouraged by their actions.
