His first book, Beating the Odds, was released on January 6, 2018. The book discusses his childhood and gives an insider’s look into the legal field. The lawyer writes about his experiences as a black man in America, growing up in public housing projects in New York City. Damien Granderson also talks about being bullied by other kids and how he fought back to let them know that he wouldn’t be discouraged by their actions.
