Don Manifold is an internationally recognized advisor and expert in mergers, acquisitions, and financing. As Managing Director of Equity & Advisory, he is responsible for advising Australian and international organizations on mergers, and additions, consulting on strategic issues and raising capital. Manifold founded Manifold Advisory Partners with a vision to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients in the resources sector with more than 30 years of experience. He has been actively involved in every aspect of corporate finance, from “first contact” to closeout.
Don Manifold is the managing director of Equity & Advisory corporate advisory firm, a member of the Deal Advisory Council, and a regular columnist for The Australian Financial Review (AFR). In addition to his role as managing director, he is involved in the investment process for two of the company’s private equity funds. He is also an independent director of a number of listed Australian companies.
Mr. Manifold advises on numerous private equity, M&A, and corporate governance transactions in the mining, resources, financial services, and manufacturing sectors. He is a consultant for large South Australian and national corporations, particularly those in the resources sector. In 1998 Mr. Manifold was named Australia’s Outstanding Young Person in Ansett Holdings’ 50th-anniversary celebrations. In 2003 he was appointed as an Independent Director at Whirlpool Australia, where he advocated significant transformation and rebuilding of the company.
Manifold graduated from Flinders University in 1980 with a degree in Economics. He also holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in Sydney. Don Manifold has coached and directed several business strategy task forces and program committees for the Institute of Public Administration (Australia), the Australian Public Service Commission, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and AGSM. He is on The University of South Australia’s Management Advisory Board.
Don has worked with boards of directors and senior management of Australia’s largest companies and most influential businesses not only in Adelaide but globally. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Association of Corporate Treasurers, The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Australia), and Rotary International.
Mr. Manifold is a regular speaker at public events, universities, and conferences in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, and America.
